Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit good8media.com, why we collect it, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws.
We keep this simple on purpose: this is a small, static website. We do not run ads, we do not use tracking cookies, and we do not sell your data to anyone. When you buy one of our books, you buy it directly from Amazon — we never see or process your payment details.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller responsible for this website is:
Michael Stark
Hoffeldstraße 156
D-70597 Stuttgart
Germany

Full company details are available in our Imprint.
2. Hosting and server log data
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, a service provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Whenever you visit this site, Cloudflare automatically processes technical data necessary to deliver the page and keep it secure, typically including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, date and time of the request, and the amount of data transferred.
This data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR) in operating a reliable, secure website, and is not merged with any other data source. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, Cloudflare provides appropriate safeguards such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Further information is available in Cloudflare's Privacy Policy .
3. Website analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit this site and how well pages perform (for example loading speed). This tool does not use cookies or any other persistent identifier, does not track you across other websites, and does not build a profile of you. It cannot record your screen, mouse movements, keystrokes, or the content you view — it only reports aggregated statistics such as page views, referrers, approximate location (country level, derived from your IP address), and page performance measurements.
Because this processing is privacy-preserving and does not identify you individually, we rely on our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR) in understanding and improving site performance. Further information is available in Cloudflare's Privacy Policy .
4. Fonts
All fonts used on this website are hosted locally on our own server. No data is sent to Google Fonts, or any other third-party font provider, when you load this page.
5. Newsletter
If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect the email address you provide and pass it to our email marketing provider, MailerLite, Inc. (651 N Broad St, Suite 206, Middletown, DE 19709, USA), which sends the newsletter on our behalf and stores your data on servers located in the EU. MailerLite acts as our processor and is contractually bound to only use your data for that purpose.
We use a double opt-in process: after signing up, you will receive a confirmation email, and your address is only added to our list once you confirm it. We process your email address on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time by unsubscribing using the link in any newsletter email, or by contacting us directly — this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before your withdrawal. We keep your email address for as long as you stay subscribed. Further information is available in MailerLite's Privacy Policy .
Our newsletter is only intended for people aged 16 or older. When you sign up, the form asks for your date of birth to confirm you meet this minimum age. This date of birth is checked entirely in your browser — it is never transmitted to us, to MailerLite, or to any other party, and we do not store it anywhere.
6. Cookies and local storage
This website does not set any advertising or tracking cookies, and does not use any tools that build a profile of your visit or track you across other websites. See Section 3 for details on our cookie-free website analytics.
7. Links to other websites
Our site links to third-party services, including Amazon (where our books are sold), Instagram, and TikTok. If you click through to one of these sites, their own privacy policies apply — we have no control over, and are not responsible for, how they handle your data.
8. Your rights under the GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- request access to the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate personal data;
- request erasure of your personal data;
- request restriction of how we process your personal data;
- request a portable copy of the data you provided to us;
- object to our processing of your personal data; and
- withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at (enable JavaScript to view email) . You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. As our business is based in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, the competent authority is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg (LfDI) .
9. Data security
This website is served exclusively over HTTPS to protect data in transit. We only work with processors that are contractually obligated to keep your data secure.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add a new feature to the site or the underlying law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
